Alan Jay Ackerman comes to Financial Architects & Consultants with 46 years of professional experience.
Admitted to the practice of law in New York and Pennsylvania, his law practice was restricted to Wealth Preservation and Asset Protection, serving High Net Worth individuals and the corporate world. His services encompassed Dynasty Trusts, Domestic Asset Protection Trusts, Intentionally Defective Grantor Trusts, Life Insurance Trusts, Charitable Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, Business Succession Planning and Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation Plans.
Adjunct to his private law practice, he has served as legal counsel to the estate planning department of a mid sized life insurance carrier providing case design and field support for a national sales force. In addition he more recently served as outside general counsel for a Wall Street Broker Dealer where he worked directly with the firm’s brokers. In this role he was responsible for increased assets under management and in excess of $20 Million in life insurance premium production.
Alan received his BBA in Economics from Temple University, where he also received his Juris Doctor. He earned the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from the American College. Alan is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
During his long career Alan has been an accredited educator lecturing on Estate Planning to CFP’s, CPA’s and Life Underwriters. In addition he has been a guest lecturer before banking, broker dealer and insurance companies and agencies.
